Free admission and free standing exhibition information at Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and Hwaseong Haenggung(Hwaseong Temporary Palace)




Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and Hwaseong Haenggung(Hwaseong Temporary Palace) is offering free admission to stimulate the tourism industry which has suffered from the recent effects of MERS. Additionally, free standing exhibits (ringing the bell of Hyowon, Hwaseong trolley, traditional archery) are on offer. We look forward to your interest and participation.

Humanities Concert of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress







For the people who visit the Hwaseong Temporary Palace during the nighttime opening period of Hwaseong in 2015, the Midnight Concert presents an opportunity to experience performances such as Korean traditional music and fusion music.

  • knowing, Liking and Enjoying(知好樂) Concert
    - Date: July in 2015, every Friday(3 times in total)
    - Contents: Talk concert to know(知),like (好) and enjoy (樂) about our traditional music
  • Harmony(畵音) Concert
    - Date: August in 2015, every Friday(3 times in total)
    - Contents: It introduces the artists(Kim Hong-do, Shin Yun-bok etc.) from the time of  King Jeongjo in Joseon Dynasty and presents various related performances.
  • Storytelling Concert
    - Date: September in 2015, every Friday(3 times in total)
    - Contents: The performances are done through storytelling (filial duty, loyalty, love) about King Jeongjo and Joseon Dynasty
