2014 International Association of Art Critics (AICA) Korean General Meeting to be held in October

The International Association of Art Critics (AICA) is the largest international art critiquing organization in the world with over 4,500 members across 63 countries, and holds annual general meetings and academic conferences in member countries. 
This year, the '2014 AICA Korean General Meeting' marks the 47th annual event, and the fourth ever international academic conference to be hosted by an Asian country which will provide the opportunity to enhance the status and reputation of Asian art critiquing.
The event, including the regular General Meeting and academic conference, will be held centered primarily in Suwon-si and events to allow participants to experience Korean regional culture will be offered. Also, AICA's board of directors' meeting will take place in the Seoul Hall of the National Museum of Contemporary Art.
The regular General Meeting, the finale of this event, will be held at the Ramada Plaza Suwon on the 14th of October where the next host country will be selected. Moreover, various issues and agendas regarding key projects of AICA will be put forward and voted on.
Meanwhile, over 150 domestic and international art critics are expected to attend the event and participate in the opportunity to exchange ideas on international art.
