Seoul City Government and Suwon City Government will reenact the entire ‘Hwaseong royal procession in the year Eulmyo (1795)’, which began at Changdeokgung in Seoul and ended at Hwaseong Haenggung Temporary Palace in Suwon (46km), to celebrate 220 years of Suwon Hwaseong’s consecration. This reenactment of the royal procession, which represented King Jeongjo’s piety for his parents and love for his subjects, will help the Festival become an event where all citizens can better communicate with each other.
