Open Call for International Performing Artists of Suwon Theatre Festival 2016

Suwon Theatre Festival is ready to celebrate its 20th anniversary and call for the international performing artists for the 2016 festival.
Suwon Theatre Festival was founded in 1996 in order to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the construction of the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, which is UNESCO’s world heritage site, and it is  organized by the Suwon Cultural Foundation and hosted by Suwon city of Korea.

Next year’s festival will be held from 5th to 8th May in the big event of ‘2016 Visit Suwon Hwaseong Year’ and through this open call, we will select fresh and excellent performances.
We hope that more artists who have passionate mind and infinite potential will participate in this open call and challenge their creativity.

• Applicant qualification : Company or individual artist who are working for the performing arts and performed in the international festival at least once.
• Grant : Performance fee and technical support, airfare, accommodation, etc.(further discussion)

Suwon Theatre Festival 2015

International Performing Arts Festival in UNESCO's World Heritage, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress 2015 Suwon Theatre Festival is back to celebrate its 19th anniversary starting on Friday, May 1st until Tuesday, May 5th that will be held in Hwaseong Haenggung Plaza, Suwon SK Artrium, KBS Suwon Art Hall, Youngtong, and other places near the city.

In order to celebrate our 19th anniversary, we have perpared various spectacles form Spain, Taiwan etc. To be premiered with fire works, multimedia, sound and different objet to show the quintessence of Modern Performing Arts. Most importantly, we have also prepared a citizen centered progarm where they take the lead and lighten up the festival.
